Dawn Flores and the Forest Project
Become a co-creator with Dawn Flores as she memorializes 60 acres of woods in Richmond slated to be razed to make way for a new neighborhood. Join us as she shares information about how to participate by making a quilt, wall hanging, table runner, garment, - whatever fiber art you are inspired to create. See her forest-inspired fabric designs in person. Find out how YOU can be part of the Forest Project.

Clubs and other activities
Quilting Adventures is located in Richmond, VA, in the neighborhood known as Lakeside, near the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens. We have about 4000 bolts of high quality quilting fabric - mostly bright and contemporary, with ~1000 bolts of batiks and hand dyeds, over 350 different solids, in addition to a great selection of 30s reproductions, novelty prints and more. Our product mix also includes books, patterns, threads, and notions for quilting as well as general sewing, applique, cross stitch and embroidery!
If you are coming from out of town, here is a page of directions with a map.
Inclement Weather Policy
The decision to close QA is not dependent on whether the local schools are closed; it is made independently based on weather conditions. If QA is closed due to bad weather, it will be posted on our home page, on our Facebook page, and recorded on the shop's voice mail. If in doubt, please call before coming. The decision to cancel classes will be made no later than two hours before class and we will make every attempt to contact students.
