QA's Third Anniversay Celebration - June 28, 2008

Please join us on Saturday, June 28, to celebrate our third anniversary! We'll have cake and other refreshments, door prizes, and hands-on demos. We will also have a special show of quilts and projects that include one or more of the techniques we'll be demonstrating!

Each demo will run for 45 minutes, with an overlapping schedule so you should be able to make a day of it! Some of these demos will be messy, so please dress appropriately. All supplies are provided!


10:30-11:15 Textile paints - print, stamp, and otherwise decorate some ugly fabric and transform it into something new and beautiful!
11:00-11:45 Sunprinting & painting with dye-na-flow & setacolors - the stuff of which awesome skies are made!
11:30-12:15 The mysteries of angelina and textiva film will be unleashed!
12:00-12:45 Phoebe will show you how to use all kinds of fun things to make ATCs, and then you'll be hooked!
12:30-1:15 Joyce learned some INCREDIBLE tricks for using paintstiks from Shelley Stokes - come see!
1:00-1:45 Foiling is so much fun and adds so much sparkle to garments, quilts, and more!
1:30-2:15 Artgirlz flower fairies, witches, snowmen - what fun!
2:00-2:45 Textile paints - print, stamp, and otherwise decorate some ugly fabric and transform it into something new and beautiful!
2:30-3:15 Needle felting molds - takes the guesswork out of felt creations - make flowers, snowflakes, and more!
3:00-3:45 Silk hankies, rods, roving - what is this stuff and what do you do with it?
3:30-4:15 Silk painting with resists - see how easy it is to work with silk resist and dye-na-flow to create your own one of a kind fabric!
4:00-4:45 Yo-yos and pom-pom makers - fun tools to make fun embellishments!
