Candle Mat
Dates:

Description: Learn how to make perfect triangles with Thangles while piecing this great candle mat! A wonderful (and inexpensive) gift project, too. You should be able to finish this project in class!
Instructor: Joyce Hartley
Class fee: $20
Kit fee: None (pattern provided in class)
Level: Beginner (must know how to use machine)
Supply List:
- 3 fat quarters (one will be the backing)
- 18" square of flannel or lightweight batting
- package of 2" thangles
- scissors
- rotary cutter and mat (optional)
- marking pencil(s) that will show on your fabric
- Omnigrid ruler 6" x 12" (or something comparable) with 45
degree diagonal mark
- pins
- neutral thread for piecing
- thread for quilting
- sewing machine with a new needle (size 80 microtex sharp) and normal
accessories (including manual)
- walking foot will be VERY helpful
