Cloth Doll Club Dates: Description: The Quilting Adventures Cloth Doll Club is an informal gathering of likeminded people wanting to have fun and talk about dolls. We discuss the ins and outs of construction, clothing and embellishment techniques. We share ideas and insights along the way, while spending some time working on project - much like a sit and stitch/show and tell with dolls as the topic. This club is a fun, relaxing adventure into cloth dolls. Meetings are second Wednesdays, 6-8PM. At the January meeting we decided it would be nice to work on a project during our meeting. Since many of us have Patti Culea's books we figured using them as a guide would be a good starting point. So, please bring a sewn and stuffed flat faced head with you to the meeting if you would like to work on drawing and coloring a flat face doll. We are using the pattern from Patti's first book: Creative Cloth Doll Making. The pattern is on page 106. We will also follow the coloring instructions from the book during the meeting. If you have this book please bring the recommended supplies for coloring the face. If you do not have the book bring a flat face that is approximately 2 1/2" long. Instructor: Kathleen Chrisman Class fee: none
