Adventures in Dollmaking Club

Dates:

- Wednesday, July 9, 2008, 6-8 PM
Mary T - making a doll tuffett
Supplies:
1 tuna fish can
Fabric - enough to cut a circle about 8" across (trace small plate) Batting circle, a little smaller than fabric (about 7 1/2" across) Stuffing Needle, thread, glue
3 beads for legs
1 button for middle of tuffet
Ribbon as wide as the can is tall, to go around the can to cover the sides. My clam cans are 1 3/4" tall, so ribbon that wide or several narrower ribbons to layer will work.
Also, for bead enthusiasts - beads to "drape" all around the can would be a nice touch.

- Wednesday, August 13, 2008, 6-8 PM
Jacqueline C - twisted paper!

- Wednesday, September 10, 2008, 6-8 PM
Special guest Susan Leschke will talk about her work!

- Wednesday, October 8, 2008, 6-8 PM
Debby T. - Making boots for dolls

Description: The Quilting Adventures Cloth Doll Club is an informal gathering of likeminded people wanting to have fun and talk about dolls. We discuss the ins and outs of construction, clothing and embellishment techniques. We share ideas and insights along the way, while spending some time working on project - much like a sit and stitch/show and tell with dolls as the topic. This club is a fun, relaxing adventure into cloth dolls. Meetings are second Wednesdays, 6-8PM.

Instructor: Kathleen Chrisman

Class fee: none
