Felted Purse Class (machine felting)
Dates:
- Saturday, June 23, 2007, 10-5 (1 hour for lunch)
Description: If
you are intrigued by machine needle felting, or have always wanted to
try it, this class is for you! Learn how easy it is to needle felt fabric
and make your own unique purse. In this class we will use wool or wool
felt, and add some colorful roving and fibers to make a fabric which will
then be made into a one-of-a-kind purse. You do not have to own a needlefelting
machine. We will have several BabyLock Embellisher machines on loan from
All Brands Service Center; be sure to reserve one when you sign up!

Fat Quarter of wool
Fat Quarter of cotton fabric for lining
3-5 colors wool roving (Merino if possible)
3 yards of two different fancy yarns
1/2 yard Wonder Under
1/2 yard medium weight interfacing/stabilizer (pellon)
Purse handles
Purse Snap
Thread for sewing purse and lining
Ruler
Basic Sewing Kit
Marking pencil or chalk
