Hand Piecing - Soft Ball
Dates:
- Saturday, November 8, 2008, 10-1
Description: Learn the basics of hand piecing while creating this great soft ball!
Instructor: Joyce Hartley
Class fee: $20
Kit fee: $6 plus tax (includes pattern, thread, needles, and enough cotton stuffing for one ball)
Level: Beginner
Supply
List:
- 3" squares of 12 different fabrics (or 2 each of 6 fabrics)
- a charm pack is perfect for this!
- Fabric marking pencil(s) that will show
up on your fabrics
- Thimble (optional, but you'll
probably want one)
- Omnigrid 1 x 6" ruler
- Small (at least 5"
square) piece of fine grit sandpaper (optional - but you'll be glad if you bring
it!)
- Short pins (I recommend Clover applique
pins)
- Needle threader (if you have one)
- Glasses (if you need them)
- Scissors - paper and fabric
Please note:
It is especially important for beginners to learn with good quality materials.
Please bring good quality quilt-weight cotton (if you buy it at QA, you're fine!.
