Mixed Media Collage - Quilt on Quilt Wall Hanging
Dates:
- Wednesdays, July 16 & 23, 2008, 6-8
Description: Create you own original base quilt, then add your own collage art quilt on top. Bring a picture, an idea, and a bunch of fabrics, and create! This technique is a "no rules approach" using a mix of raw edge fused appliqué, textured surface design, thread painting, and embellishments. The quilting and thread painting are done in one artistic step. Examples of quilts, books, magazines will be available to help with ideas. The finished size of the shop sample is 16"x 20". Inspired by Quilting Arts Magazine Oct/Nov 2007, Spontaneous Composition by Debbie Babin.
