Needle Sculpted Doll Body

Dates:
- Saturday, August 2, 10-5 (1 hour for lunch)

Description: In this class you will learn how to needle sculpt a female cloth doll figure using doe suede fabric. Doe suede is a knit fabric that is easy to work with. It’s slight stretch makes turning fingers and creating a curvy figure much easier than cotton fabrics.

There is homework for this class, so please plan ahead. The doll body will need to be sewn and stuffed prior to class. We want to spend the whole class focusing on the needle sculpting process.

Instructor: Kathleen Chrisman

Class fee: $36

Kit fee: none

Level: Advanced Beginner

Supply List:

½ yard doe suede, color of choice
Thread to match
Heavy thread to match fabric for needle sculpting, button/carpet, hand quilting, etc.
Stuffing
John James Darner Needle
Long 4-6” doll needle, try to find a thin one
Hemostats

No photo available - this is going to be a fairly detailed sculpted female body. If I describe it any more clearly, my website will be flagged as inappropriate for family viewing. Please use your imagination! :-)
