Postcard Club
Dates:
- Fridays, June 1, July 6, August 7, 2007, 6-8
Description: Venture into art quilts by making fabric postcards to trade. We will meet each month and discuss design approaches and certain techniques. There are two goals: to learn various approaches for interpreting and executing design themes and to have lots of fun! You will make 4 identical cards each month, 3 will be mailed to others in the group and you will get 3 in return for your own collection. In each class we will discuss each participant’s design idea and techniques used. Vicki will then demonstrate new techniques and assign the theme for the next month. A kit will be available for each meeting for the basic supplies needed: Timtex (or other firm foundation), fusible web, backing (address side) fabric. You will add the pizazz and design from your own stash of materials.
