New Stuff!

Thursday, April 20th, 2006 by Phoebe

Today I got three boxes in!

We got Lickity Grip! It helps you keep beetter control of your fabric(or beads or paper!) and doesn’t stain! If you’d like to try some out, just stop by the shop, we should have some sitting out.

T-Shirt Quilts by Jane Davila & Linda Oehler Marx was in another box. It gives you some great patterns and tips for working with T-Shirts!

In the last little while we’ve gotten in:

Parrot Island by Fabri-Quilt

Some new colors of Fairy Frost by Michael Miller

Malta by P&B Textiles – lovely swirls in intersting colors. They don’t even have it on their website yet!

Wild Things by P&B Textiles. Betty is making a purse out of a few of these prints, and should have it done soon! Stop by and see it! It’s from one of our new books Cross Over Bags by Jeanne Perrine.

Dragonfly Dreams by Michael Miller. We have some of the quilt kits made up with their pattern.

And Pretty Petals by Michael Miller. They use some of their Fabric Paper Flowers in the quilt(we sell those too!) and as soon as we get the last bolt of fabric you can come see the sample!

That’s it for now!

Chicago!

Friday, April 14th, 2006 by Phoebe

Chicago was awesome! If you ever have the chace to go, take it! It’s probably one of the best quilt shows I’ve ever been to.
There were some great vendors, too. One of our favorites was Art Girlz. Leslie Riley also had an extrodinary booth – LaLas Land. And Cloth, Paper, Scissors had a wonderful booth.

Two of our customers had quilts in the show.

Cindy Lyles had a quilt in the Hoffman Challenge exhibit.

And Christy Proost had a quilt in the Traditional Treasures exhibit.

Mom also had two quilts in the show.

Mariner’s Lone Compass Star(what a name) was in the Traditional Treasures exhibit. This is the one that normally hangs above her desk:

And her Grand Canyon Quilt that was made for the Quilting Arts “What’s Your Utopia?” Contest.

I’m sorry that the pictures aren’t that great, but there were alot of people! And after posting the pictures of my mom’s quilts, I’ve discovered that she’s decided to take herself out of the pictures! Sorry!
