The Art Quilt Study Group met the end of May and showed their interpretations of the theme “Sanctuary.” Deanna C. kindly sent me this photo of everyone’s little quilts, but I’m afraid I don’t know whose is whose! If someone could leave a comment or send me an email and tell me I’ll be happy to post names here, too. I’ll be updating the site soon with the future meeting dates and themes. For more info on this group, click here.

One of our customers, Jennie Wright, emailed me late last week. She made a quilt for her daughter’s second birthday using ALL fabric that she bought from us! It’s from the book Strip Pieced Quilts (she bought that from us too!). Her mom made her 3 daughter’s matching dresses out of the same fabric. She said she will email me pictures of the dresses later.
Here’s pictures of the quilt!

Isn’t it cute? Look at the quilting! Isn’t that awesome too? I absolutely love the fabric, and I think it turned out beautifully!
I got some great news today. In addition to my Grand Canyon quilt which is in the Small Wonders exhibit, I have two more quilts that will be going to Houston. Mariner’s Lone Compass Star (the quilt that hangs over the filing cabinets on the back wall of the shop) and The Big Bang (a quilt that I made for my son) will be in the In the American Tradition V exhibit.
Now, if I could only make something *new* to enter into a show…..
