Beginner Sewing - Retro Aprons

Description:
Learn versatile basic sewing skills while making one or more of the cool aprons
from the pattern book Retro Aprons by Cindy Taylor Oates. Vicki Welsh has been
sewing garments and quilts for 40 years and will share tips and techniques for
every apron style in the book while helping you make the specific style that you
selected. Some of the techniques that you will learn in this class include: understanding
grain, working with bias, pleats, ruffles, hems, patch pockets, applying trim
and edge finishes. Pick some fun fabric and make yourself a cool new apron for
your kitchen - even if you don't cook!
