What exactly is a CEO
? Well, in our case, it's not a Chief Executive Officer but rather a "Completed Executed Object
". It's that wonderful thing you have when you finish all your UFOs
. Yep, here we go again. That's not an Unidentified Flying Object (although sometimes we wish to throw our projects across the room in frustration), but it's an "Un-Finished Object
". Sometimes, it's referred to as a NESO
(Not Even Started Object
) or even more correct, a CUP
(Completely Unstarted Project
). Confused yet? Don't be. We're here to help you get these quilting projects done with fun incentives along the way. Here's how to participate in 2019:
1. Make a numbered list of 6 UFOs you would like to complete from February 2019 through to July 2019. It can be a quilt that needs only the binding to something you've forgotten in a box in the back of your sewing closet to a brand new quilting pattern. Just make it something you haven't yet finished. You can use this link to sign up online (http://bit.ly/QACEOsignup2019
) or you can email your CEO list to email@example.com
or you can come in and drop off your list in our store. Remember to keep a copy of your list for yourself. One list per person.
2. Finish one of your UFOs before the end of the month and bring it into the shop for show and tell. We'll take a picture and post your finished project on our FB page and Instagram CEO 2019 Album. You can check out last year's CEO Album for inspiration. After the picture, you'll be entered for a chance to win a $25 QA gift card for each month you finish a CEO project and bring it in. Out of town customers, send the picture of your completed project to firstname.lastname@example.org
3. At the end of the 6 months, everyone who has finished all 6 of their UFOs will be entered for another gift card - this one for $50.
4. But there's MORE! We'll have a CEO party on Saturday, August 10, 2019, at 2:30 pm with food and prizes. We hope everyone who participates can join us for the big show and tell party. Remember to sign up for the celebration once you've created your CEO list so you can be reminded about the party when the time comes!
We always get this next question: What does "finished project" really mean? Here's your answer: If it's a sewing project that is a lap quilt size or smaller, then we mean it must be finished all the way done
and not just a quilt block. It needs to be completely bound, ready to be used or hung.
If it is larger than lap size, then a finished top counts as complete. If you get inspired to finish more than your 6 listed projects, please do so! But only those projects on your list qualify you to win prizes.
Make your CEO Club list ASAP. You can join anytime, but the sooner you get started the better your chances of earning the grand prize. We'll officially start Feb 1, 2019. If you sign up before then, you will receive a special coupon for January 2019! So, get your list in now!
