Rope Bowls- Beginner and Intermediate
Join Julie for a fun and creative rope class! Beginners will make 1 trivet and 1 bowl in class. If you’ve taken the class before, I’ll teach you how to make handles, add buttons, and more! You must bring a machine that does zig zag stitch.
Supplies needed:
- Scissors
- optional--Strips of fabric or use scraps we provide - you will cut your strips in class, no prep work needed
- Elmer's small purple Glue Stick - recommended
- Rope - We sell the correct rope in our shop (please don't bring any other rope).
- Thread of choice - medium color is easier to see than white or beige, but bring what you like. Any 40 or 50 wt thread works.
- Jeans/Denim needles for your machine.
- Sewing Machine that does a zigzag stitch--must know how to use machine and how to set to this stitch.
- Bring the correct foot to use for zig zag stitch.
- Book: Zig Zag Rope Sewing (optional)
Class Polices:
If your class starts at the same time that we open, we will let you into the shop ten minutes before class time.
In consideration of other students and employees with allergies, please limit your use of scented personal products when attending one of our classes.
If your class calls for a book or pattern, each student needs their own copy of that book or pattern. Under federal copyright law, books and patterns may not be shared.
If your class requires a sewing machine, please be sure that you are familiar with its operation, it is in good working order, has been serviced recently, and bring your manual along to class just in case.
We do not allow children under the age of 18 in our classes without the consent of the teacher and shop owner.
Pets are not allowed.
Only the person who is enrolled and paid for the class may be in the classroom during class time. Out of the consideration for the teacher and the other students, please do not bring children, guests, or friends to class with you.
If you are sick, please do not come to class. If the class is cancelled, we will refund you. If you want to disenroll, you will get a refund if it is more than 7 days prior to class. No refund on cancellations within 7 days of start of class.
