We dodged the storm! Well, it went away from us, we can't control the weather yet. Did you stay in anyway and work on some projects? Or clean, organize, cook, do laundry? We had a great two fabric bargello class. They all look so different at the end of class. Here are a few pictures. The people taking the class all quarantined together, so they gathered close for the final picture.
We have a few new classes on the website now. A new beginner’s class will start October 1st. It will be done before Thanksgiving! You can show off your new talent to family over the holidays. We are going to try a Zoom class – One Block Wonder, Sept. 16 and 23. Since this is my first Zoom class, the fee is reduced. This also means that you need to be ready to go on time and have all your supplies ready too. Go here to sign up for classes. We’re planning on some short Zoom sessions for techniques and easy ideas to get you started on new projects. Watch the webpage for these too.
Some Kona solids arrived this week – greys and dark blues mostly. We also got an order of some Fracture blenders from P & B. The Grinch Advent Calendar panel arrived and a companion piece. You can use the panel as the calendar or the center piece of a quilt. Either way, it is adorable and your Grinch fans will want it! On the way some lovely, calm blenders from Dear Stella and some children’s novelties from Michael Miller.
Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday weekend. Hope everyone stays in a healthy situation. Normally, we would have a big birthday celebration this time of year. One of my children, four of the grands, and my step son all have birthdays between Sept. 1 and the middle of October. This year we will Facetime or Zoom. Think I will try to use the time making presents. Hope you have plans too.
Happy sewing,
Phyllis and the QA Staff
