Let it Go and Go For It

Let it Go and Go For It

Last week I decided that time with family was more important than anything else on the books. I did just that instead of the newsletter. Decided not to try to squeeze everything in.

This morning, as I was leaving the house, I went to close the sliding glass door in our bedroom. I don’t really like air conditioning and open the door in our room late at night or in the morning as I shower and dress. This morning all the cats (4) joined me around the door (kitty TV). One was on the floor at the door, one was on the back of the overstuffed chair next to the door. The other two were milling around. As I was going to shut the door, the air conditioning kicked on. It must have startled a bird in the yard, because one flew at the sliding glass door to land. All the cats were at the door immediately. The one on the chair leaped for the bird (on the other side of the screen) and landed on the edge of the glass door at my eye level. The bird flew away, and the cat was stuck on the door. I put her on the floor and wondered what she would have done if I wasn’t there.

This led me to pondering about people. What do we do if someone isn’t there to help us? Some do the Elsa thing and “Let It Go." Others “Go For It” – seek help, go to the internet, call us or a friend, and/or take classes with us. (Click on the pics for more goodies)

We have scheduled lots of classes for you. Take a look below and see what you want to learn, improve, or do with a small group of friends. If you want to do a specific technique or quilt with a group, ask us about it. We can schedule a class just for your group. There are links below for you to sign-up online. If you had trouble or have trouble you can try again or call us – 804.262.0005.

Think about a beginning sewing class for your child, grandchild, young family member, or young friend. We can schedule a pillowcase or drawstring bag class for them. Just let us know what you think about this. We have space in August to add a class or two.
